WHAT DOES SEMI-CUSTOM MEAN?
Semi-custom suites are pre-designed wedding invitations and stationery that you can customize with calligraphy, your information and colour palette. They are a great alternative for couples who are looking for elevated designs without the price tag of fully custom suites.
TIMELINE
Semi-custom suites can take 4-6 weeks to create and produce, depending on how quickly it takes for the design to be approved. Please allow for at least 2 additional weeks for embellishments like envelope addressing. International orders should also add at least 1 extra week for shipping.
INVESTMENT
Based on an order of 100 invitations, our semi-custom suites start at $750. Bon Paper House couples typically spend $1,000 – $2,500 on their semi-custom invitations.
PROCESS
1. INQUIRE
Submit an inquiry to receive a personalized proposal for your invitations. If any changes need to be made, we will continue to tailor your proposal to meet your needs!
2. PROPOSAL
Once you have approved your proposal, we will send over the official contract and invoice containing all project details. Your spot in our calendar will be secured once a signed contract and 50% deposit have been received.
3. DESIGN
You will receive a personalized proof by email within 7-10 business days of completing Step 2. Each order includes 3 complimentary revisions after seeing the initial proof. If additional revisions are required, a charge of $250 per extra revision will be incurred. Note that additional design revisions will lengthen production time.
4. PRODUCTION
Once you approve the final proof, your invitation suite will move forward to production. Printing will not begin until your approval has been received. Production typically takes 2-3 weeks.
5. SHIPPING
When production is complete, your finished invitations will be shipped via Canada Post. Your invitations will not be assembled and will be packed in flat stacks. An email with tracking information will be sent out when your order has shipped.

PAPER TYPES
COTTON CARD STOCK
Heavy cover weight card stock is lightly textured with a weight of 100 – 110 lb and clean, straight edges.
*RSVP and Details cards are only available in card stock.
HANDMADE PAPER
Soft and fluffy with a beautiful natural deckled edge and slight variations to enhance their unique and handmade nature.
COTTON CARD STOCK PAPER COLOURS
HANDMADE PAPER COLOURS
All designs will be printed digitally onto your paper of choice. This is currently the only printing method available for the semi-custom suites. If you are interested in different printing methods, submit an inquiry here.
PRINTING ON CARD STOCK
On card stock, digital printing offers a clean and smooth finish.
PRINTING ON HANDMADE PAPER
On handmade paper, the designs are still crisp but enhanced by the fluffy texture of the paper.
INK COLOURS
Choose from a wide variety of available ink colours for your semi-custom suite.
*Stone and Pale Grey Card Stock are not compatible with all ink colours. See list below.
Stone Card Stock is not compatible with the following ink colours: Rose, Clay, Turmeric, Chartreuse, Sage, French Blue, Mushroom and Smoke.
Pale Grey Card Stock is not compatible with the following ink colours: Rose, Clay, Turmeric, Sage, French Blue and Smoke.
*Snow White Card Stock and Off White Handmade Paper are compatible with all ink colours.
ENVELOPES
All orders of Save the Dates, Main Invitations and RSVP cards include v-flap envelopes. Choose from a carefully curated palette for your invitation suite.
RETURN ADDRESS PRINTING
Return address digital printing is included on all envelopes. Choose from Ebony or White ink for your return address printing.

Ebony ink is available for return address printing on the following envelope colours:
Snow White, Harvest, Dusty Rose, Mid Green, Pale Grey, Real Grey, Cool Blue and Dusty Blue
WHITE INK
White ink is available for return address printing on the following envelope colours:
Harvest, Dusty Rose, Claret, Mid Green, Forest, Real Grey, Dusty Blue, Imperial Blue and Ebony
